NJ FamilyCare and NJ KidCare continue to get support from New Jersey companies who believe in its mission and do everything they can to promote its services. Eckerd and Pathmark pharmacies both have agreed to disseminate program materials in their pharmacies statewide. Also, two major supermarket chains are donating their time and space to reach thousands of shoppers. Starting in November, all Pathmark stores in New Jersey will donate space on their half gallon and quart-sized milk  cartons to display a NJ FamilyCare advertisement. The ad prominently features the program's logo, the toll free telephone number and Web site address.

We have found that milk cartons are very effective communication mediums because shoppers really do read the messages printed on them, said Patty D'Amato of Pathmark. We hope this technique will make more people aware of NJ FamilyCare and encourage them to inquire about the program.

All ACME supermarkets in New Jersey have program flyers printed in English and Spanish available in high-traffic areas of their stores. There also will be enrollment days in the pharmacy area of stores in Morris Plains, Vineland, Woodstown, Burlington, Cinnaminson, Pennsville, Audubon, Hamilton Square, Bordentown, Browns Mills, Bridgeton, Willingboro, Mount Holly, Washington Township and Runnemede. Program representatives will distribute literature and talk to customers who have questions about eligibility and the application process.

We appreciate being selected for this effort and are excited to be able to help, said Mike Hamilton of ACME.
